It’s not all sunshine…
Life isn’t all sunshine and lollipops. Stuff happens. And over this holiday weekend it did!
Upgrading the website to make it compliant with Google requirements took two days of my life I’ll never get back again. But then it was Saturday, and I looked forward to a long weekend of Easter eggs and sunshine.
Only to be hit by the most colossal head cold. A Richter scale of 10 of a head cold. Sore throat, stuffed up nose, head full of cotton wool…yuck!
We postponed our Sunday dinner to Monday and I avoided the chocolate completely. And thanks to my daughter, who was able to take over on the cooking and dog-walking front, the household trundled on.
As I was out of action for most of Saturday through Monday we had to focus on what really mattered. What really needed to be done. And what could be left.
So what would happen, I wonder, if we applied this to our lives generally?
- What really matters?
- What do you HAVE to do?
- What can you do without?
- If your brain turns to cotton wool over the next two days how and what will you delegate?
These questions are worth asking now and then, hopefully without a minor but track-stopping health crisis.
How do they apply to your life?
